Dr Emilia Pietka-Nykaza

​Emilia is Senior Lecturer at the University of West of Scotland.  She is an interdisciplinary research with over 15 years of experience working in the field of refugee and migration studies. Her work drawn on theoretical and methodological insights from intersectionality, migration studies and community relations. Emilia's work research focuses on active citizenship and citizenship rights, integration and migrants’ settlement practices from a multidisciplinary and policy- focused perspective.

Helen Baillot

Helen is a practitioner and researcher whose research interest include forced migration, family migration and the experiences of women and children who are subject to immigration control. Examples of her work can be found at http://www.hmbaillot.co.uk/ . Helen is originally from Glasgow but has been based in the Scottish Highlands since 2012.
